SHEEHAN, Hannah (McCarthy) Of Everett on April 11. Beloved wife of the late Patrick J. Mother of Eileen Barresi and her husband Salvatore of Saugus, Jerry and his wife Cheryl of Everett, Timothy and his wife Paula of Swampscott, Patrick, John, Michael all of Everett, Marie Russo and her husband William of Malden, Denise Gagliolo and her husband Vincent of Peabody and Joseph of Everett. Sister of Charles McCarthy of Medford, Eileen Keating of Woburn,  and the late Timothy McCarthy, Mary Collins, Sheila McCarthy. Also survived by 15 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and a special cousin Charles McCarthy of Somerville. Funeral from the Salvatore Rocco and Sons Funeral Home, 331 Main St, EVERETT, Wed. April 15 at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church Everett at 10 a.m. Relatives and freinds invited. Visiting hours Tuesday 3-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Immaculate Conception Church, 489 Broadway, Everett, MA 02149. Interment will be in the Holy Cross Cemeterey Malden .Mrs. Sheehan was born in Co.Kerry Ireland. Since the Sheehan family moved to Everett in 1965, the city has benefitted from their many contributions, particularly in the field of athletics. A quiet, modest, and indefatigable worker, Mrs. Sheehan worked diligently for the Everett Little League and the Everett Babe Ruth League. In addition she assisted many other youth programs, usually as a behind the scenes worker. In 1980, Mrs. Sheehan earned the distinction of being the first woman to receive the "E" Club citation of achievement award. She also served as the Honorary Grand Marshall of the 2014 EHS Homecoming Parade. She was a member of the St. Therese Ladies Sodality, the W. Roxbury Irish Social Club and was a former teacher for special needs students at the Lincoln School in Revere. Complimentary valet parking will be available at the funeral home during Tuesday's wake.
