James A. "Jim" Kohler, 48, of Washington Township, Pa, died November 16, 2019 in Easton Hospital.
Born January 3, 1971 in Easton, he was a son of Albert J. and Diane L. (Statler) Kohler.
Jim was employed as a custodian by the Easton Area School District and worked at the Easton Academy for many years and recently, the Easton Area Middle School.
Jim’s family will remember him for being a passionate man who cared deeply for his family and the times spent camping, bonfires in their back yard, tubing down the Delaware river, him giving the biggest bear-hugs, in addition to his love of motorcycles, cigars, driving in the snow, truck and tractor pulls, nature (he was an avid sightseer), and his ability to leave a smile on everyone’s face, even after just a simple greeting.
In addition to his parents, Jim is survived by his former wife, Marie (Daly) Kohler; a daughter, Julia M. Kohler; two sons, John P. "Jacks" and Albert "AJ", all of Northampton, Pa.' a sister, Deena L. Kohler at home and a half-sister, Carol A. Estrella of Lehighton, Pa.; two grandsons, James H. and Ryan. C. and two nephews, Codee James and Bradee Lee Kohler, with whom he resided.
Visitation will be held 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday, in the First Moravian Church, 225 N. 10th St, Easton, PA 18042. Services will begin at 6:00 p.m.
