Frank Paul Coffaro, 93, of Sugar Grove, Pa, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at the Rouse Home.

He was born in Jamestown, NY on January 23, 1928, a son to the late Marion J. and Mary (LoGuidice) Coffaro. Frank served in the US Navy from 1945-1947 and then went to meat cutting school. He owned and operated Coffaro’s Custom Butchering from 1960-1990. After retirement, Frank raised beef cattle. He was an avid sports fan for the Eisenhower Knights as he was a member of the Sports Boosters for many years. He was also a member of the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church and the Sugar Grove American Legion Post #758, where he was also the Chaplain. Frank was very active in 4-H with his grandchildren and loved fishing on Lake Chautauqua after his retirement.

He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Joan Margaret Sanders Coffaro, who he married on Sept. 30, 1950 at the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church; his children, Joseph Paul Coffaro of Sugar Grove, Pa and Carol Lynn (Robert) Coffaro Johnson of Warsaw, NY; a brother, Marion (Ellen) Coffaro of Lakewood, NY; his grandchildren, Hobart (Nadiya) Carr, Joanna (Brandon) Ferman, Elisabeth (Lake) Graboski, Warren (Vanessa) Carr, Thomas Frank (Zoë) Carr,  Rob (Kim) Coffaro, Ben (Holly) Coffaro, Jill Miller, Rebecca (Jesse) Horton, Frank (Zoë) Johnson, Samantha Johnson;  his great-grandchildren, Graham, Grace and Lola Carr, Carson Freman, Daphanie and Stella Carr, Gina, Julia and Sophia Coffaro, Clayton Coffaro and Kara (Addison) Gingrich, Sydni and Cedric Miller, Thaddaeus, Theodore and Ella Johnson; a great-great grandson, Elon Gingrich; his nephews, Brian and Bruce Coffaro and a niece, Bethany Coffaro as well as all of the Sanders nieces an nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, a daughter, Priscilla Ann Coffaro Carr, a great-granddaughter, Avery Ann Ferman and a brother, Joseph Coffaro.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at the Sugar Grove Wesleyan Cemetery. A memorial service will be held and announced at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, 3 Race Street, Sugar Grove, Pa 16350 or the Sugar Grove American Legion Post #758,169 Creek Road, PO Box 386, Sugar Grove, Pa 16350.

Coffaro Family: Please accept our sympathies & prayers at this time in your loss! As a little boy, Mr. Coffaro will invite my dad & I into the meat locker to look at the meat! That was a thrill for a little boy! Also, I remember how friendly he was whenever my dad & mom & I would come to the shop! Please accept our condolences

So sorry for your loss. Frank was always a great fan of all the Eisenhower athletes. It was always a pleasure to see him at the games, support the kids, and talk sports with him. Rest In Peace.
