Thomas D. Huesman, 59, of Shelbyville passed away Sunday, July 10, 2011, at Major Hospital.
Born Sept. 21, 1951, in Shelbyville, he was the son of Henry "Hank" and Maude (Adams) Huesman. He married Linda K. Jeffries on Dec. 17, 1978, and she preceded him in death on Aug. 15, 2008.
Survivors include daughters, Mistina (Bill) Elliott and Alina Huesman, both of Shelbyville; sons, Duane E. (Carrie) Hollman of Milan, Scott E. (Janel) Hollman of Hope and Joshua D. Huesman, John T. Huesman, Derrick J. Huesman and Jordan L. Huesman, all of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Bret Hollman, Ryan Hollman, Austin Wilkins, Trevor Wilkins, Chase Hollman, Tyler Hollman, Amanda Hollman and Alexis Huesman; great-grandchild, Madison Hollman; sister, Mary Ann Huesman of Shelbyville; brothers, Walter "Ray" (Arlene) Huesman of Vernon, Vt., Michael L. (Janet) Huesman of Grand Forks, N.D., Victor A. Huesman of Murfreesboro, N.C., and Robert J. (Sharon) Huesman, Peter J. (Carolyn) Huesman and Charles "Rick" Huesman, all of Shelbyville; half brother, Ray Keane of London, England; foster daughter, Abigail Blackburn of Shelbyville; best friend and friend of the family, Sheryl Chambers; and mother-in-law, Mary Jeffries of Shelbyville.
He also was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Henry A. "Tony" Huesman.
Mr. Huesman had been employed as a factory worker for 25 years at Knauf.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Huesman was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Tom lived for his children and grandchildren, his ambition to love and support them in all of their endeavors.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service and Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Father Aaron Pfaff officiating.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, with graveside military rites conducted by local veterans organizations.

Tom was such a good and faithful servant and a wonderful father to many. He will be missed by many. May God bless and comfort all of you during this difficult time and loss of a good man!! It was my pleasure to have Tom as a patient in Cardiac Rehab. He was not only always cooperative and pleasurable to be around, but always had a smile on his face. He will sadly be missed.
