Mary Elizabeth Smith, 55, of Shelbyville, died Thursday, May 19, 2011, at Sylvan Springs, Ala.
Born Sept. 22, 1955, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Richard "Bud" and Mabel (Shaw) Dillinger. She married James H. Smith on July 26, 1976, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 13, 2009.
Survivors include sons, Benjamin (wife, Lesley) Smith and James A. Smith, both of Shelbyville; daughters, Tina (husband, Larry) Pogue and Terri Jareski, both of Shelbyville; brothers, Danny (wife, Thelma) Dillinger of St. Paul and Jim (wife, Amy) Dillinger of Las Vegas, Nev.; sisters, Deb (husband, Bill) Byess of Sylvan Springs and Rose (husband, Jim) Pitcher of Connersville; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a member of Faith Trinity Pentecostal Church.
Mary enjoyed crafts and horseback riding.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Faith Trinity Pentecostal Church, 505 W. Pennsylvania St., with the Rev. Perry Fouts officiating.
