Sarah J. Street, 86, of Shelbyville died Sunday, May 15, 2011, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield.

She was born Feb. 19, 1925, in Morgan County to James Riley Knose and Emma Agnes (Branson) Knose. She married Charles L. Street in 1952, and he preceded her in death in 1978.

Survivors include a son, Jimmy (wife, Shannon) Knose of Shelbyville; brothers Ira Knose of Shelbyville and James Richard Knose of Greenwood; a sister, Anna Harris of Indianapolis; and several grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

She worked at Admiral Corp. and was a dedicated employee of Murphy Funeral Service from 1979 until she retired in 2008.

Sarah's favorite pastimes were watching her grandchildren grow and flowers.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St.

Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robb Barlow officiating.

Burial will be in Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens.

To the Knose family....I am so sorry for your loss. I will miss Sarah''s boisterous laughter. She alway''s made me laugh by telling me her "opinion" on whatever was on her mind.

What a special occasion knowing Mom is with our God what a special celebration of life, Mom loved those Parks children, and yes she loved Greg and Shelia too - Sugar and Doc Parker who made her a part of their lives always. I miss her so and I cherish the chance to know and love all you guys who made Mom feel so loved and blessed...
