Betty J. Hankins, 74, of Shelbyville died Thursday, March 3, 2011, at her residence.
Born June 22, 1936, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Vern and Ruth J. (Robbins) Ficklin.
Survivors include daughters, Rose Roberts of Shelbyville, Kathy Jasper of Moscow, Ind., and Carol Cade of Fort Myers, Fla.; sons, Larry George and Thomas George, both of Indianapolis; brothers, Donald Ficklin of Versailles, Ind., Pete Robbins of Indianapolis and Raymond Ficklin of Florida; 23 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Barbara Coffey; a son, Tim Brandon; and a brother, Harold Ficklin.
Ms. Ficklin had been employed as a machine operator at Knauf Insulation and also volunteered at Especially Kidz.
She was a member of Faith Trinity Pentecostal Church.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service and Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St., and from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Trinity Pentecostal Church, 505 W. Pennsylvania St.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Perry Fouts officiating.
Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park in Madison, Ind.
