 Raymond R. Emerick, 76, of Shelbyville, passed away, Monday, December 2, 2019 at MHP Medical Center.

  He was born January 22, 1943 in Shelbyville to Esta Emerick and Elizabeth (Gephart) Emerick.

  On July 14, 1962, he married Vickie (Beckley) Emerick, and she survives.

  Raymond is also survived by his son, Tod Emerick, his daughters, Kim Holland and Teree Jackson (Donald); his grandchildren, Raymond T. Emerick (Abby); Sierra Fishburn (Tommy); Tara Ferenczy (Spencer); Shawna Jackson; Cody Holland, and Aizlynn Jackson; 5 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Janice Critser (Dave) and Pat Riggs.

   He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, William Emerick and Esta Emerick; and his sister, Aletha Greenough.

  Raymond worked as a job setter at Ford Motor Company before retiring in 2000, after 31 years of service.

  He was a former member of the Eagle and Moose Lodges in Shelbyville.  He loved fishing, hunting, and camping.  He just really enjoyed being outdoors.  The times spent making memories with his family were the  most precious to him.

  A private family service will be observed with a private graveside service in Miller Cemetery officiated by Pastor Edwin Mohr.

  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Midwest Regional Office, 6500 Technology Drive, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278.

  Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve the Emerick family.

I am so sorry to hear of Raymond's passing. I am blessed to have known him. He showed me how to mushroom hunt. How he caught turtles { by his hands) , Could never beat him at playing cards! So many memories of a wonderful man that I will cherish forever. My deepest condolences to Vickie, Tod, Teree, Kim and the rest of the family. Prayers of strength.
