  Michael Edward Schoentrup, 63, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2019 at MHP Medical Center.

  He was born July 4, 1956 in Indianapolis, to Clarence and Henrietta (Helms) Schoentrup.

  On September 16, 1994, he married Janet (Lockridge) Schoentrup, and she survives.

  Mike is also survived by his daughters, Kelly Schoentrup; Kristian Mejia (Albino); Heather Blanco (Ernesto); and Nicole Richardson; his grandchildren, Amber and Kaleb Richardson; Alexio Gearhart; Juancarlos Mejia; Serafina Mejia; and Sophia Mejia; his great-grandchildren, Braiden and Lincoln Carter; his brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Ruthie Schoentrup, and family friend, Nioka Comstock.

  He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Damian Schoentrup.

  Mike was a factory worker at PK USA for 10 years. He enjoyed watching football and was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan.  He also enjoyed going for rides around Shelby County.  His favorite times were spent with his family.

  Visitation will be from Noon to 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

  Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Perry Fouts officiating.

  Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

  Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve the Schoentrup family.

I am sorry to see of his passing , we have known each other from way way back years ago, we worked together for awhile at a local factory, R.I.P Mike.
