  Delaney Jaeger ‘DJ’ Drake, 26, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, November 25, 2019 at MHP Medical Center.

  He was born November 7, 1993 in Beech Grove, IN.

  DJ is survived by his mother, Terri Drake (Del Jaeger); brother, Dylan Drake, nephews, Zane Drake, and Gavin Drake; and many special friends that became family.

  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Martha Drake.

  DJ was a firm believer in Jesus Christ.  He attended Shelbyville Central Schools.  He enjoyed cutting hair, composing and listening to music and fishing.  DJ was very artistic.  As a child, he enjoyed playing sports.  He enjoyed spending time with his birth father, David Fidler, who he recently reconnected with.

   Visitation will be from Noon to 3 p.m., Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

  Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Brandon Sutton officiating.

  Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve DJ’s family.

I am so sorry for your loss. It saddens me and mynheartbis heavy for you guys. Know that I love you and wish nothing but comfort and strength to carry you during this trying time. May God wrap his arms around you all and comfort you and let you know that Dylan waits.... until you meet again...

Your smile was the most contagious your your heart was the biggest and when you cared you cared with your whole heart you were one of the most amazing people that I have had come into my life and I'm so thankful you did you lit up a room when you walked through the door you always called me when I was have a rough time it was like you knew just when I needed to laugh or needed to cry but it was crazy cause rite there you always were GOSH DJ I'M GOING TO MISS YOUR FACE SO MUCH THIS SEEMS LIKE A BAD DREAM AND YOUR GOING TO CALL OR TEXT OR COME IN AND I KEEP FINDING MYSELF WAITING BUT I KNOW YOUR BATTLE HERE IS FINALLY OVER YOU CAN REST NOW AND PLEASE DO JUST THAT WE ALL WILL HANDLE THE REST FOR YOU HERE YOUR SO LOVED AND MISS DJ FLY HIGH YOU BEAUTIFUL ANGEL!!!!

We are so very sorry for your loss. Delaney was a good kid. He was always respectful & said hi! We believed he could change his life for the better. So saddened he didnt get the chance.🙏
