 Gary L. Poulson, 69, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, November 22, 2019 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

  He was born July 10, 1950 in Indianapolis to Robert Poulson and Sarah Frances (Grady) Poulson.

  On May 2, 1990, he married Judith (Browning) Poulson, and she survives.

  Gary is also survived by his sisters, Taunie Dunn and Carolyn (Darrell) Beasey; niece, Erin Dunn; great-niece, Eleanore Dunn; great-nephew, Xavier Dunn; step-sons; Michael Wood and Maurice Wood; step-daughter, Judith Wood; and Harold the cat.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law, Jeff Dunn;; sister, Roberta Poulson; brother, Duane Poulson and step-son, Charles Ray Wood.

  Gary was a self-employed carpenter.  He enjoyed doing woodworking, watching movies and reading.

  His most precious times were spent taking short traveling car trips with his wife.   

  Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Marietta United Methodist Church, 5462 S. Marietta Road, Shelbyville, IN.

  Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with Pastor Donald Bradley officiating.

  Burial will be in Miller Cemetery.

  Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve Gary’s family.
