 Robert Cassidy, 52, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2019 at his residence.

  He was born January 25, 1967, in Shelbyville, to Charles N. Cassidy and Nancy (Bishop) Cassidy.

  On March 14, 2009, he married Esther (Van Mil) Cassidy, and she survives.

  Other survivors include his sons, Jack Cassidy, Von Cassidy, Milo Cassidy, Liam Cassidy, daughter, Eleni Cassidy, grandson, Lucas Cassidy; his brothers, Bert Cassidy, Chris Cassidy, Doug Cassidy, Andrew Cassidy and Scott Wilson; his sister, Teri Borg; and lifetime friend, Nadine Mathews-Prather.

    Robert was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon.  He was a gifted musician and performer.  Robert was a true craftsman and carpenter.  He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. The family is asking that black and/or gold be worn in honor of Robert.

  Robert always enjoyed spending time around the river.  His most precious times were spent with family and friends.

    Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Crossroads Community Church, 475 E. Progress Parkway, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

  A Memorial Service will follow at 3 p.m. at the church with Pastor Andy Lee officiating.

  In lieu of floers, memorial contributions may be given to Murphy-Parks Funeral Services to help the family with funeral expenses.

  Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve the Cassidy family.

Thoughts and prayers from our family to yours. Bob was one of the handful of friends I considered a brother I never had. We both knew we could ask each other for anything at anytime and we’d both be there. A very significant part of my life just left. Gods speed in that red barcheretta in heaven.

So long, my friend. You were a big part of our lives here in Germany, and Evelyn and I really missed you and your family when you headed back home to the USA. Now we are missing you more. Much love to Esther and the kids, Andy, Jack and Von, and all Bob's family members.
