 Lonnie Ray Bowling, 57, of Indianapolis, passed away, Monday, November 4, 2019 at Lakeview Manor.

  He was born April 29, 1962, in Indianapolis, to Orville Bowling and Nancy (Lusk) Bowling.

  Lonnie is survived by his sister, Connie (Walter) Carter, niece, Tabitha Carter, great-niece, Haley Berry, great-nephews, Dillon Berry, Devin Berry, Walter Reed and Carter Reed and great-great-nephew, James Robert-Ray Cossairt.

  He was preceded in death by his parents.

  Lonnie attended Lakeview Church in Indianapolis.  He enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and anything to do with cars.  He was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan and had a love for watching sports.

  Visitation will be from Noon to 1 p.m. Monday, November 11, 2019, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

  Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

  Burial will be in Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens and Crematory.

  Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve Bowling family.

Connie,
Thinking of you and your family, and I'm so sorry for your loss. Even though I haven't spoken with Lonnie in years, he was like a brother to me in our younger days. I will always remember him as that red headed young man that ran around with my brother, and how annoying they could be at times. Take care my friend, God bless you and your family.
