  Nancy Messer, 69, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2019 at her residence.

  She was born May 15, 1950 in Shelbyville to John and Joan (Bogeman) Mohr.

  She is survived by her son, William Mohr, daughter, Genie Shelton, sisters, Susan Moody, Janet Michele, Aileen Sullivan, and Mary Marsh, and grandchildren, Amber, Allison, and Samuel Shelton, Rhiannon Mohr and Alex Ware.

  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Scott Messer, who passed away July 11, 1990.

 Nancy was a homemaker.  She was a member of West Street United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.  Nancy loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

   Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to Noon, Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN 46176.

  Funeral services will follow at Noon at the funeral home, with Pastor Edwin Mohr officiating.

  A private burial will be held in Forest Hill Cemetery at a later date.

  Memorial contributions may be made to the Shelby County Animal Shelter, 705 Hale Road, Shelbyville, IN. 46176.

  Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve the Messer family.

So sorry to read of Nancy’s passing. She had a good heart especially for the children at West Street! Prayers for your family. Mae now living in Florida.
