 Aurelia Hurtado, 99, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at her residence.

  She was born May 24, 1920 in Sullana Piura, Peru, to Patrocinio Sanchez and Tomasa Rondoy.

 She married Guillermo Hurtado on June 12, 1969 and he preceded her in death September 7, 1995.   

  Mrs. Hurtado is suvived by her children, Manuel (Laura) Riofrio; Aurora (Damian)Vincens; Miquel (Gloria) Jaramillo; Nancy (Jose) Mendieta; Luis (Amanda) Hurtado; Gladys Hurtado; Maria Rosa (Jose Luis) Penailillo; Juan Carlos (Carmen) Hurtado; Elisa (Victor) Hurtado; and Margarita (Pablo) Hurtado; 28 grandkids, 39 great-grandkids; and great-great-grandchild, Amelia Grace West.

  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

  Mrs. Hurtado was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and attending family functions.

   Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN 46176.

  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 125 E. Broadway, Shelbyville, IN.,  with Father Mike Keucher officiating.

  Burial will be in her home country of Peru.

  Funeral Directors, Greg, Sheila, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve the Hurtado family.

Our condolences to your lovely family. May God wrap you in his arms and give you the resilience and strength to continue without la abuelita. Know that she is at peace and she did live a great life. Sorry for the loss from our family to yours God bless.
