  Dale B. Kesterman, 72, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, February 25, 2019 at his residence.

  He was born October 12, 1946 in Greensburg, IN to Bernard ‘Ben’ and Marie (Wenning) Kesterman.

  He married Barbara Ann (Smith) Kesterman on February 15, 1984, and she survives.

  Dale is also survived by his daughter, Adrianne (Josh) Greene of Shelbyville; his son Bric (Courtney) Kesterman of New Orleans; sister, Donna (Jim) Cronin of Ohio; sister, Theresa Basey of Shelbyville; brother, Dennis (Carla) Kesterman of Fairland; sister, Rita Addis of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Emory Higgins, Tate Greene, and Gracie Kesterman, several nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and nephews.

   He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, RoseMary Toll and brother-in-law, Don Addis, both of Shelbyville, nephew, Jason Thornburg of Ohio.

   Dale graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1965.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Air force.

He worked for Standard Grocery for 23 years, Bova Fruit Wholesale Vegetables for 10 years, Mickey’s T-Mart for 10 years, and Blue River Bowl for 9 years until his retirement.

 He was a member of the American Legion where he enjoyed spending time and doing volunteer work.  He also loved to do yard work , play cards, golf and bowl. 

   A Celebration of Life will be observed Monday, March 4, 2019 from 4 p.m. to ? at the American Legion.  Military honors by local veteran’s organizations will be at 5 p.m.

  Memorial donations may be made to the American Legion, 1125 Miller Avenue, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

  Funeral Directors, Greg, Sheila, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve the Kesterman family.

I am saddened to hear of Dale's passing. I was in his Shelbyville High School class. He always had a smile and friendly word for all. He will be missed.
