  Elizabeth J. Jones, 96, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Morristown Manor.

  She was born April 10, 1922 in Anderson, IN to Benjamin and Carrie (Carpenter) Stephenson.

  She married Norman V. Jones on May 9, 1944 and he preceded her in death on September 9, 2002.

  Mrs. Jones is survived by her son, Norman G. (Diana) Jones of Fairland; daughter, Suzan (David) Holt of Waldron; son, Michael W. Jones of Shelbyville; daughter, Rose Jones of Shelbyville; son, Joseph (Leah) Jones of Kansas City, MO; daughter-in-law, Judy Jones of Shelbyville; 5 grandchildren, 1 brother and 1 sister.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Caren Jones, son, David Jones, and step-father, Dennis Tucker.

   Mrs. Jones was an electronic mechanic helper at Naval Avionics Center for 31 years, retiring in 1982.

   She enjoyed gardening and sewing.  She love listing to traditional gospel music.  Her most precious times were spent with family.

   Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to Noon on Monday, February 25, 2019 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN 46176.

  Funeral services will follow at Noon at the funeral home with Pastor Shannon Benner officiating. 

  Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

  Memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army, 136 East Washington Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

  Funeral Directors, Greg, Sheila, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve the Jones family.
