Pastor Kevin Goble Bennett, 66, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 at IU Health Methodist, Indianapolis.
Born January 9, 1952 in Greenfield, IN, he was the son of Robert and Patricia (Hendren) Bennett.
He married Brenda A. (Gruell) Bennett on June 28, 1980, and she survives.
He is also survived by his son, Shawn (wife, Kim) Cherry of Shelbyville; son, Paul J. (wife, Emmily) Bennett of Clinton, TN; grandchildren, Araya Cherry, Austyn Brown, Kayleigh Brown, Courtney Herrington, Blake Herrington, Abigail Bennett, Caleb Bennett, and Zander McQueary; great-grandchild, Zaidyn Mays; sisters, Candy Herbert and Karen Bennett, both of Greenfield and Carol Redman of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenton Bennett and Craig Bennett.
Kevin was in the ministry and served as Pastor of Rays Crossing Christian Union Church.
He was a member of Rays Crossing Christian Union Church; and Fellowship of Christian Magicians. Kevin was passionate about participating in youth camp ministries. He was a magician and enjoyed fishing. He was an avid historian of old traditional movies.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Rays Crossing Christian Union Church and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Friday, November 16, 2018 at the church.
Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Paul Morrison officiating.
Burial will be in Bennett Cemetery.
