Gloria Jean Mann Glackman, 67, of Shelbyville, passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Aperion Care, Waldron.  Born on March 21, 1951 in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Harold Mann and Rebecca ‘Becky’ Mann Adams and step-father Donn Adams.  She is survived by her son, Grady Glackman (wife, Erica); sister, Barbara Thomas (husband, Michael); brother, Mark Adams (wife, Theresa); granddaughters, Korigan, Jenaka, and Zoe Glackman; niece, Michelle Phares (husband, David); nephew, Eric Adams, all of Shelbyville; and nephew, Travis Adams (wife, Brittany) of Greenville, IN.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her step-father.  Gloria was a life-time resident of this area.  She graduated from Shelbyville High School and from Ivy Tech with a certification as a Certified Surgery Tech.  Gloria worked at Community Hospital in Indianapolis and Major Hospital in Shelbyville.  She also worked at the Shelby County Courthouse in the clerk’s office. 

Gloria loved to play cards and travel.  Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Visitation will be on Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.  A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. with Reverend Jimmy Collins officiating.  Both will be at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN.

Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, 2626 E. 17th, Street, Columbus, IN 47201 or First United Methodist Church, 34 West Washington Street, Shelbyville, IN. 46176.
