  Virginia L. Miller, 88, of Shelbyville, passed away, Friday, June 8, 2018 at IU Methodist Hospital.

   She was born September 17, 1929 in Wyandotte, MI to Clinton and Edna (Easton) Perkins.

  She married Clarence M. Miller and he preceded her in death on April 13, 2005.

  Virginia is survived by her son, Edward R. (Gloria) Miller of Shelbyville; daughter, Vicki (Michael) Jaussaud of Shelbyville; daughter-in-law, Becky Miller, 12 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, her half-brothers, Robert Perkins and Joe Perkins, half-sister, Theresa Perkins, and step-brother, Mike Rodenberger.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse, her son, Rick A. Miller, 1 brother, and 5 sisters.

  Virginia was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed watching baseball.  She was a homemaker and a wonderful cook. She had a love for gardening both vegetables and flowers.  Her most precious times were spent with her family.

  Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville. 

  Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the funeral home with Reverend Seth Taylor officiating.

  Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

  Funeral Directors Greg, Sheila, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve the Miller family.

  Memorial contributions may be given to the Cancer Association of Shelby County, P.O. Box 844, Shelbyville, IN 46176 or to Trinity United Methodist Church, 714 Fair Avenue, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Our condolences to the Miller family. She ran a good race and is now at home with the loved ones who preceded her. May those left to mourn her passing take comfort that she is happy and at peace.
