Nancy Jean Larkey, 83, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, April 27, 2018 at her residence.
She was born December 29, 1934 in Shelby County to Cecil and Thelma (Macy) Larkey.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Borton, of Indianapolis, her son, Charles R. (Ellen) Scudder of Bloomington, her grandchildren, Justin (Takeela) Borton, and Alyssa Borton all of Indianapolis, Nancy Coffey and Anne (Michael) Gastineau all of Bloomington; 9 great-grandchildren, and her sisters, Rosemary Griffey of Pendleton, Dorothy (Dale) Banta of Columbus; Elizabeth Larkey, and Shirley Evans both of Indianapolis, Ruth (Morris) Cherry of Shelbyville and Patricia (Lawrence) Green of Whiteland.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Nancy was a member of Hope’s Point Church. She was a caring and loving mother and her greatest pleasure was spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Food Pantry.
Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Hope’s Point Church, 1703 S. Miller Avenue, Shelbyville.
Services will follow at 1 p.m. at the church with Pastor Edwin Mohr officiating.
