   John “Sean” Fitzgerald Lapinski, 54, of Shelbyville met Jesus face to face on Good Friday, March 30, 2018 at his residence,

  He was born in Rush County on June 20, 1963.  He graduated high school in 1981 from North Decatur in Decatur County.

  He served in both the Marine Corp and Army National Guard.  He received his Associates in Organizational Leadership from Purdue.  He was employed by Pilkington/NSG.

  He was preceded in death by both of his adoptive parents, Al and Ann (Cullen) Lapinski, as well as his 1st wife, Stella (Huff) Lapinski.

  He is survived by his wife, Melissa (Wilbanks) Lapinski of Shelbyville; children, Thomas Lapinski of Shelbyville, Shannon (Lapinski) Clouse and husband, Joe, of Arlington; Krysten Lapinski of Shelbyville, and Cameron Kirkwood of Richland; grandchildren, Mason and Noah Clouse of Arlington; biological mother, Betty (McGowan) Landis of Kokomo, sister, Linda (Lapinski) Holstein and husband, Bill, of Columbus; brother, Bill Cone and wife, Susan (Carpenter) Cone, of Kokomo.

  A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Shelbyville Community Church with service to begin at 5 p.m.

  Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Association of Shelby County, P.O. Box 844, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

 Funeral Directors Greg, Sheila, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve the Lapinski family.

So sorry for your loss I went to school with Sean at North Decatur we also grew up together at Lake Santee

My husband Leon and I send our sympathy to the family. We live at Lake Santee and knew the Lapinski family. They were a great part of the community. So sorry for your loss.
