Ronald Fuquay, 62, of Shelbyville, passed away, Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Born February 28, 1955 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Raymond Fuquay and Barbara (Woods) Spurlin.

He married Lisa Fuquay on August 17, 1996, and she survives.

Other survivors include his son, Nathaniel Toycen (Shelly), Bloomingdale, IN., daughters, Regan Sophia, Dallas, TX,, Clenda Skrvin, Shelbyville, IN., step-daughters, Misty Bealver, Shelbyville, IN and Mary Brown, Henryville, IN, brother, Larry Fuquay, Indianapolis, IN., sisters, Connie Rukes, Augusta, GA., Janet Cello, Flat Rock, In., Laura Wilson (Don), Shelbyville, In., Rella Caplinger, Shelbyville, IN., brother, Jerron Spurlin (Amy), Indianapolis.IN., and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Diane Fuquay.

Ron was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1972 to 1975.

He attended Waldron High School. He was employed at Ryobi as a fork lift operator.  He was a member of the American Legion.

He enjoyed kayaking, cliff diving, fishing, camping and playing chess.

Visitation will be Monday, November 13, 2017 from Noon to 3:00 p.m at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison Str., Shelbyville, IN.  Funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Ronnie Cain officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery at a later date.

Funeral Directors Greg, Sheila, and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the service for Mr. Fuquay.
