Josephine  Hall, 88 of Greenwood, IN , formerly of Shelbyville, passed away on Monday, October 02, 2017, at Franciscan Hospice House, Indianapolis IN

Born October 10, 1928 in Somerset, KY, she was the daughter of Walter Lay and Zula (Eaton) Lay.

Josephine is survived by her daughter, Sue (Michael) Hirschauer, Greenwood, IN,  granddaughters, Lorie (Steven) Teike, Greenwood, IN Tasha (Erik) McQueeney, Greenwood, IN,, great-grandchildren, Lauren Teike,  Austin Teike, Isabella McQueeney, Abigail McQueeney, sister, Shirley Bailey, Shelbyville, IN, brother, Pete Woodall, Shelbyville, IN and her furry companion, Snickers, her beloved dog.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and three sisters.

Mrs. Hall was employed at KCL for 41 years.  She attended Liberty Baptist Church.  She enjoyed her time working in the ticket booth at the Shelby County Fairgounds grandstand.  She also enjoyed quilting.

Mrs. Hall was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary.

Jo was a very outgoing lady who will be greatly missed by the many people that knew and loved her.  She will remain forever in our thoughts, hearts, and prayers.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 7, 2017 from  10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN.

Funeral service will be follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Robert Prather officiating.

Burial will be in Lewis Creek Baptist Cemetery Shelbyville IN.

Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Franciscan Hospice House, 8414 Franciscan Lane, Indianapolis, IN. 46237

Funeral Directors Greg, Sheila. and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mrs. Hall.

Sue im so sorry to read about Aunt Jo's passing . This women was loved by so many people . Except My deepest heartfelt condolence . She's now with all of our loved ones what a reunion they had. love you Tiny
