Michael A. Dalrymple, 51 of Shelbyville, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017, at his residence.

Born May 1, 1966 in Shelbyville, IN, He was the son of the late Michael E Dalrymple and Imogean (Qualls) Purdue.

Michael is survived by his mother and step-father, Shelby J. Purdue, daughter, Shontay E Dalrymple, Shelbyville, IN, son, Andrew, brothers, Jefferson A Purdue, Marietta, IN, Robert E Purdue, Flat Rock, IN, Stephen Purdue, Edinburg, IN, and Simon Purdue, Columbus, IN,, grandson, Corbyn Brand, aunts, Willadean Richardson, TN., Kathryn Chappelow, Geneva,IN., Dorothy Freeze, TN., and Renetta Floyd, TN., Uncle Marshall Qualls, TN., cousins, Rusty Stephens, Kathy Gahimer and ex-wife, Marlene Finley.

Mr. Dalrymple was preceded in death by his father, brother, Shelby A Purdue, grandfather, Ralph Qualls, grandmother, Hazel Qualls, uncles, AD Qualls, and Jerry Qualls.,

Michael was a concrete worker for many years. He was a very outgoing and adventurous man. He enjoyed deer hunting, and spending time on the river. He loved to fish.Some of his most precious moments were the times he spent with his family and friends, who will all miss him very much.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 05, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN.

A memorial service will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Brandon Sutton officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Michael Dalrymple memorial fund in care of the funeral home.

Funeral Directors Greg, Sheila, and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mr. Dalrymple.
