Martha L. Pursley, 67 of Boggstown, IN, went to Heaven on Friday, Sept. 1, 2017 at her residence. She was born on August 23, 1950 in Indianapolis.

Mardi was the daughter of Elmer "Nobby" Noblitt and Virginia "Tudie" (Morris) Watson, which preceded her in death.

Martha is survived by her husband, Roger Pursley. They were married on August 16, 2014.

Martha is survived by five children: daughter, Lorinda (Macy) Vore, Fountaintown; son, Chad Bolton, Flat Rock; daughter, Medessa (husband Todd) Bolton-Rabideau, Branson, MO; daughter, Jennifer (husband Larry) Pursley-Howard, Boggstown, IN; and son, Jon Pursley, Knightstown, IN.

Mardi had 13 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren.

Mardi's siblings include: brother, Danny, and two sisters, Marcia and Kristy.

She was a Geriatric Nurse for 40 years. She served in the U.S. Army Reserve.

She enjoyed gardening, spending time bird watching and fishing. Her interests also included hunting with family and friends. Her grandchildren were her joy in life.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 6, 2017 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service. Funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Todd Rabideau will officiate. Her ashes will rest in Crossroad Cemetery in Batesville, IN.

Memorials maybe given to the Shelby County Cancer Association.
