Since 1984 I have considered Sarah to be a dear friend and I will miss her humor and, at the same time, her devotion to helping those who are less fortunate so that they might become knowledgeable and blessed. My condolences to the family.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this condolence message. REV. Sarah had a profound impact on my adult life as a teacher, mentor, minister, neighbor and most importantly, dear and cherished friend. I extend my heartfelt sympathy and sincerest condolences to her family. Belinda, Beth, and Savanah, thank you for sharing your dear mother/granny with all of us who loved and adored her. I will always remember her wonderful wit and sense of humor. She was one of a kind and will be missed terribly by many for a long time to come.

I have such fond memories of Sara. She was a guide for me in my youth, never critical, there to listen not judge. Her light in the world will be missed.

To Sarah's family, Belinda, Beth and Savannah, and to Scott Ferguson and his family I want to extend my condolences. I know you will miss her sweet, kind ways and her every ready smile. She was tough and sweet all wrapped up in one pretty, southern lady, package. I loved waiting on her at the bank, Irwin Union, for so many years. I knew that sweet, southern voice the minute I picked up the phone. She would call and say, "Wendy, I have been shopping again. Can you please straighten me out." She loved to shop! She taught me the sale days at Von Maur! She always made me smile! We had a lot in common and always had a lot to talk about. I will miss her. This city will miss her. Remembering all of you in my thoughts and prayers today! Wendy

To the Parks Family and to Sarah's Family. Sarah's ceremony/celebration was a truly beautiful, classy service, just as she was. I loved her choice of songs, beautiful songs. Only Sarah would have chosen all of those vastly different songs. They were all so "Sarah". My hat is off to all of you for a job well done! Wendy
