James E Brown, 83 of Shelbyville, IN passed away on Monday, May 08, 2017, at Major Hospital Shelbyville.

 

Born July 09, 1933 in Shelbyville, IN, He was the son of Orvile Brown and Adeline (Heck) Brown and they preceded him in death.

 

James married Mary (Stanton) Brown on Friday, May 24, 1957 and she preceded him in death on January 25, 2009.

 

James is survived by his two children Thomas "TAB" Brown (Kimberly) of Manilla, IN, Debra Bolin (Dwight) of Shelbyville. Grandchildren, Jodi Kuhn, Paul (Mandy) Brown, Cody (Marrissa) Brown, Matthew (Sarah) Bolin, and Andrew (Nicole) Bolin. 9 Great grandchildren and one brother Charles Brown (Mary).

 

Mr. Brown was also preceded in death by two brothers.

 

Mr. Brown was a plan engineer and retired from Brazeway in 1990. He was a member of the United Kennel Club and was a judge at many of the dog shows. James and his late wife, Mary, enjoyed their time spent square dancing.  He was also a member of the VFW and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

 

Visitation will be Thursday, May 11, 2017 from  4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services. 703 S. Harrison St. Shelbyville, IN. 46176.

 

Funeral service will be held Friday, May 12, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Dennis Hirschauer officiating.

 

Burial will be in Winchester Cemetery.

 

Funeral Directors Greg, Sheila, and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mr. Brown.
