John Edward Byrne, 70 of Shelbyville, IN passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at his residence.

He was born on January 06, 1947 in Indianapolis, IN. He was the son of the late Robert Byrne and Ruth (Hawkin) Byrna. John and Kathy were married 40 years.

John is survived by his Daughters: Kelly (Husband Rainey )Higginbottom, SC,; Marci (Husband Rodney) Suiter, Waldron, IN, Son: John Byrne, Jr., SC, Grandchildren: Serena Tyler, Rainey Higginbottom Jr., Dustin Higginbottom, Jeff Stodghill, Church Byrne lll, David Byrne, Lucas Byrne, Lauren Suiter, Allison Suitter, Jett Suiter; 8 great-grandchildren.

He was proceeded in death by: daughter: Anita Byrne and brother Danny Byrne.

He was self employed contractor until his retirement in 2002.

He was a member of Hope's Point Church.

John enjoyed working on antique cars as his favorite hobby. He also attended the sugar valley rally several times in his life.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN.

Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, April 30, 2017 at 4:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Edwin Mohr officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the John Byrne funeral expense fund in care of Murphy-Parks Funeral Service.

Funeral Directors Greg, Sheila and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mr. Byrne.

Oh Kathy we are so sorry for your loss. We sure had some great times, our jam sessions, and baking and remodeling and all the crazy stuff we all got into! Our prayers are with you and your family as you deal with your loss. We sure love you guys and all the fun we had. We will never forget. May John RIP and you find peace in your soul. God Bless you.
