Timothy Earl Paxton, 67 of Shelbyville, IN passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Richard A. Roudebush VA Medical Center Indianapolis IN.

He was born on April 16, 1949 in Shelbyville, IN. He was the son of Richard Paxton and Ruby (Platt) Paxton. Timothy married Margaret Ann(Jeffries) Miles-Paxton on December 8, 1984 and she survives.

Timothy is survived by sons: Dustin Paxton, Florida, Cory Paxton and James Miles Shelbyville, daughters: Heather Graham Minnesota and Beth Cole, Shelbyville; brother: Benjie (Connie) Paxton, Shelbyville, Sister: Sandy (Larry) Bowers, St. Paul.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.

He worked for CTC Inc. in Franklin until his retirement in 2015.

He was a US Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and he had a passion for coloring.

He was a true family man that always put his family first.

Visitation will be Wednesday March 22, 2017 from 5:00PM to 6:00 PM at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN

A Celebration of life service will follow at 6:00PM at the funeral home, with Reverend Brandon Sutton officiating.  Military Rites will be conducted by local veterans organizations.

Memorials may be given to Wounded Warriors Project P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675.

Funeral Directors Greg, Sheila and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mr. Paxton.

I am so sorry! I have very good memories of times with the family..he would always make you feel as if things weren't as bad as you thought they were!! I can hear his laugh now!! A truly good soul! ((((HUGS)))) to all of you!
I'm so sorry I won't be able to attend..I would have loved to have seen you all!!
I will be thinking of you all!
