Marian M. Hague, 82, of Shelbyville died Thursday, May 13, 2010, at Heritage House Nursing Home.

Born March 3, 1928, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Robert and Alpha M. (Herndon) Corley. She married Orville Hague on July 15, 1954, and he preceded her in death on July 11, 1996.

Survivors include her daughters, Phyllis (husband, Larry) Heck of Shelbyville and Vanetta (husband, Danny) Walters of Kirklin; son, Charles (wife, Marilyn) Hague of Waldron; brothers, Rex Corley of Kentucky and Leon Corley of Shelbyville; sister, Shirley (husband, Lawson) Williams; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, two brothers, one sister and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Hague was a registered nurse and retired from Major Hospital after 30 years of service.

She received her nursing degree from Marion College.

Mrs. Hague attended Baptist Temple Church.

She loved reading, crocheting and traveling.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service and Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Harvey Weaver officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

What a great nurse to work with at Major Hospital. I remember her patience with me as a new nurse and learned much from her. Trust that God will be with you during your loss even though I am not very familiar with her family, I can still pray that God will comfort you in your sorrow.
