Donald E. Hardebeck, 77, of Shelbyville died Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010, at Ashford Place Health Campus.
Born Aug. 18, 1933, in Ripley County, he was the son of Edward and Marie (Redelmen) Hardebeck. He married Mary Hobbs on Oct. 16, 1959, and she survives.
Survivors include his daughters, Wilma Hardebeck and Donna Hardebeck, both of Shelbyville; and sisters, Linda Wright of Shelbyville, Virginia Jackson, Mary Davis and Barbara Arnett, all of Greensburg, Doris Hardebeck of Waldron and Georgiana Jackson of Martinsville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John Hardebeck; one brother; and one sister.
Mr. Hardebeck had been employed at KCL Corp. from age 16 until retiring.
He enjoyed fishing and race-car driving.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service and Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St., followed by graveside services Tuesday at Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens & Crematory.
