Myrtle Lou Ricker, 89, of Shelbyville died Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove.
Born Sept. 24, 1920, in Rogersville, Tenn., she was the daughter of John W. and Ebbie (Feagins) Arnold. She married Carter Cane Ricker on Jan. 15, 1947, and he preceded her in death on May 7, 1983.
Survivors include sons, John (wife, Cheryl) Ricker of Shelbyville and Charles (wife, Pamela) Ricker of Indianapolis; daughters. Bernice (husband, Bennie) Bolling and Carolyn Bailey, both of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Connie Dwenger, Marci Scott, Mendi Bailey and Charles M. Ricker; and great-grandchildren, Tylor, Hannah and Austin.
She also was preceded in death by her parents and a half brother.
Mrs. Ricker was a homemaker.
She attended Fellowship Baptist Church.
Mrs. Ricker loved swinging on her porch and listening to gospel music.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Frank Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
