Wanda J. Armstrong, 81, of Shelbyville died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010, at St. Francis Hospital & Health Centers, Indianapolis.
Born Jan. 23, 1929, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Harry Wallace and Janette (Thurston) Brown.
Survivors include her sons, Gregory D. (wife, Beulah) Armstrong, Mark A. Norvell, Jon Drew Norvell, all of Shelbyville, and Michael J. (wife, Meg) Armstrong of Pennsylvania; daughters, Natalie (husband, Jack) Simpson of Terre Haute and Melissa (husband, Rodney) Meyerholtz of Shelbyville; brothers, Paul Meredith (wife, Sarah) Brown of Shelbyville and Rick (wife, Ginny) Brown of Waldron; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her husbands, Elmer Harry Norvell and William Armstrong; son, Ronnie Armstrong; parents; four brothers; and four sisters.
Mrs. Armstrong was a homemaker and member of First Church of the Nazarene.
She graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1947.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service and Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Forest Hill Cemetery, with Jack Simpson officiating.
