James R. Eversole, 70, of Shelbyville died Friday, Aug. 13, 2010, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin.
Born Feb. 4, 1940, in Beech Grove, he was the son of James and Mary (Winkler) Eversole. He married Marjorie Schultz on Feb. 3, 2010, and she survives.
Other survivors include his sons, Dean (wife, Pam) Eversole of Avon, Brent (wife, Lynn) Eversole, James T. (wife, Lacie) Eversole and Jude Eversole, all of Shelbyville; daughter, Joni (husband, Todd) Coffey of Shelbyville; sister, Judy (husband, Ron) Koons of California; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Eversole had been employed at Ford Motor Co. for 30 years.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.
Mr. Eversole was a member of American Legion Post No. 70.
No public visitation will be observed.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 125 E. Broadway St., with Father Chris Craig officiating.
Burial will be in St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Cemetery in Shelby County, with military rites conducted.
Services have been entrusted to Murphy-Parks Funeral Service and Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St.
