Lois A. Begley, 89, of Fairland, IN, passed away on January 22, 2017 at Arbor Grove Village in Greensburg, Indiana. She was born on February 3, 1927 in Bowling Green, KY to Robert Harston and Lelia (Johnson) Harston.  She married Joseph L. Begley on April 5, 1956 and he preceded her in death in 2002. 

Lois is survived by three children:  son, David L. Begley, of Shelbyville; daughters, Janet Shipp of Fairland and Betty Harper of Beech Grove. 

Lois lived in Fairland for about 45 years.  She was a graduate of Bowling Green High School and was a member of the Northwood Christian Church of Fairland.

She was a factory worker, working in several places, finally retiring from Williams Industries in Shelbyville .  Lois loved sewing and collecting just about anything.

Visitation for Lois will be Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Brandon Sutton officiating.  Burial will be at the London Cemetery, in London, IN.
