Patricia Jo Schoentrup, 72, of Shelbyville died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008, at her home.

Born Dec. 4, 1935, in Ohio, she was the daughter of James and Alice (McNeilan) Blackburn. She married Al "Red" Schoentrup on Jan. 26, 1954, and he survives.

Other survivors include her daughters, Beth Schoentrup of Shelbyville and Debbie (husband, Tim) Schoentrup-Cook of Indianapolis; brothers, Bill (wife, Betty) Blackburn of Florida and Stephen (wife, Janet) Blackburn and Tom Blackburn, both of Virginia, and Lawrence (wife, Judy) Blackburn of Shelbyville; and sister, Peggy (husband, Marlin) Thomas of Geneva.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Schoentrup had been employed at Fort Benjamin Finance Center and after raising a family, she and her husband became owners and operators of Red's Place in Bargersville.

She graduated from Boggstown High School.

Mrs. Schoentrup was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She loved nature, her pets, poetry and debating current events.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 125 E. Broadway St., with the Rev. Chris Craig officiating.

Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church Youth Group, 125 E. Broadway St., Shelbyville, IN 46176; or St. Joseph Catholic Church Bereavement Ministry, 125 E. Broadway St., Shelbyville, IN 46176.
