Larry was an amazingly gracious & giving gentleman. He always had a smile on his face & something "crazy" to say! He touched many, many lives. He will be sadly missed by those who knew him well & by those he only casually met I'm sure. He could not have been more proud of his two boys & his grandchildren (whom he thought hung the moon). As for Jennifer, his devoted wife, He said one time, "What does that woman see in Me?' He loved you dearly. My heart goes out to you & your families at this time. God bless Larry & all of you. Sincerely...

Jennifer,
We were so sorry to hear of your loss. Cindy and Kathy talked to us at the HC reunion and told us of your husbands illness. It was really good to see and talk to them.

My condolences are with your family through your difficult time. Although we don't always understand life's challenges and why bad things happen to good people God does have a reason he gives us these challenges and it's times like these that we have to keep faith! Just know he is no longer suffering and pain free. His time on Earth has ended, but that by no means he is no longer with you. It was his time to go home and though you may not see him he is everywhere you want him to be. I will continue to keep you in my prayers! He was as I remember from the time I was 5 years old and learning to swim in Larry's pool and dressing up as Santa Clause at Church... a great man full of life and energy! God Bless!

I would like to extend my sincere condolences to Larry's widow, Jennifer, and to his family. Although I did not serve directly with Larry in Vietnam (I was in "C" troop), we both served our country during the same timeframe as members of Black Horse, 11th Armored Cavalry. I am so sorry for your loss, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Jennifer,
I was sorry to hear of the loss of your husband. I had talked to Roberta Leary shortly after he had passed away. Also my brother, Bob Sims, was telling me that you and your husband were good friends of Bob & Jane Taylor. We have known them for many years as they were good friends of my brother and his wife - Bob & Bob had taught at Triton.
It was good to see you at the reunion.
My sympathy again. Barbara
