Brian V. Gallagher, a former Shelbyville resident, died Sept. 20, 2009 in McDonough, Georgia.

He was the son of David K. Gallagher and Mary "Libby" (Moore) Gallagher and they survive.

Other survivors include his son, Victor Gallagher of Colorado; sisters, Ann Gallagher of Indianapolis, Beth (husband, Gary) Gallagher-Keele of Frankfort, and Kate (husband, Mike) Bullerdick of Omaha; brothers, Kevin (wife, Patti) Gallagher of Colorado, David Gallagher of Shelbyville, Patrick Gallagher of Nashville, TN, Father Peter Gallagher of Lawrenceburg, and R.T. Gallagher of Crane, IN.;
companion Connie Miner of McDonough, GA and twelve nieces and nephews.

Mr. Gallagher graduated in 1978 from Shelbyville High School where he participated in football.

Visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 27th from 3-6 p.m. at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St. Shelbyville, IN. The rosary will be recited Sunday at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

A mass of Christian burial will be Monday, Sept. 28th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Chris Craig officiating.

Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Progress House, 201 South Shelby Street, Indianaplis, IN 46202.

Our deepest sympathy to each of you. It seems like only yesterday that we were all on Elm Street. You were the greatest neighbors we have ever had--the children were always having a good time. Brian was a very special young man. We are so very, very sorry for your loss.

Victor and I will miss Brian so much. He was a wonderful part of mine and Vic's life and we will never forget him. I would like to send out my heartfelt condolances to the Gallagher's. I know you all are hurting and no one but God can relieve that pain. I will keep you in my prayers.
