Robert Gale Price, 82, of Shelbyville died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009, at his home.
Born June 22, 1927, in Shelby County, he was the son of Neville and Ruth (Ricketts) Price.
Survivors include his sister, Linda Price of Shelbyville; and brother, Marvin "BO" Price of Shelbyville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Glenn "Shorty" Price and Donald A. Price.
Mr. Price had been a carpenter, working for several different contractors.
He was a U.S. Army and Air Force veteran, serving for four years in each.
Mr. Price was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Eagles Lodge and Knights of Columbus.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Miller Cemetery in Shelby County, with military rites conducted by local veterans organizations.
