James Lee Lynch, 82, of Shelbyville died Saturday, May 31, 2008, at Ashford Place Health Campus.

Born June 29, 1925, in Shelbyville, he was the son of James and Clara (Fischer) Lynch. He married Bonnie (Wheat) Oliger on Sept. 16, 1995, and she survives.

Other survivors include his sons, Mark (wife, Judy) Oliger of Blanchard, Okla., and Steven (wife, Candy) Oliger of Shelbyville; brothers, John Lynch of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Thomas (wife, Ann) Lynch of Columbus, Ohio; sister, Rose McVey of Anderson; brother-in-law, Ray Harrell of Shelbyville; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Patricia Harrell.

Mr. Lynch had been employed with Boeing Co., in Everett, Wash., for 38 years, retiring in 1990.

He graduated from Purdue University in 1952, with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering.

Mr. Lynch was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council of Scared Heart No. 822, Eagles Lodge No. 766, American Legion Post No. 70 and St. Joseph Social Club.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with the rosary recited at 3:30 p.m., at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 125 E. Broadway St., with the Rev. Chris Craig officiating.

Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, with military rites conducted by local veterans organizations.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church Building Fund, 125 E. Broadway St., Shelbyville, IN 46176; Hospice of Shelby County, 110 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN 46176; or the donor's favorite charity.
