Bertha Marie McNeely, 94, of Shelbyville died Saturday, March 7, 2008, at Major Hospital.
Born June 10, 1913, in Avoca, Iowa, she was the daughter of Alonzo and Anna (Hines) Hipshur. She married Maurice William McNeely on May 14, 1933, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 11, 1957.
Survivors include her daughters, Louise (husband, Johnny) Stephens and Lois (husband, John) Carter, both of Shelbyville; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents, three daughters, two sons, three sisters and two brothers,
Mrs. McNeely had been a private home caregiver and had been employed at TRW Cinch for several years.
She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Mrs. McNeely was a quilter and seamstress and loved arts and crafts.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Stephen Bohall officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery
