Alma Mae Kieninger, 78, of Shelbyville died Monday, May 5, 2008, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin.

Born March 22, 1930, in Beech Grove, she was the daughter of Rufus and Ethel (Johnson) Crouch. She married John Albert Kieninger on Sept. 8, 1946, and he preceded her in death on May 20, 1997.

Survivors include her daughters, Joy Kieninger of Marietta, Bonnie (husband, Bobby) Mattingley and Connie (husband, Sammy) Stephen, both of Rochester; sons, Robert Kieninger of Marietta, John Kieninger Jr. of Rochester, Larry Kieninger of Indianapolis and Daniel Kieninger of Peru; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Kieninger was a homemaker.

She loved to play bingo.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Prather officiating.

Burial will be in Miller Cemetery in Shelby County.

I am sorry to read about your lose.Even though I didn't know her well, she always spoke to me and tried to update me on what you were doing when ever I saw her. Again I am sorry.
