Betty Jean Joseph, 91 of Shelbyville, IN passed away on Wednesday, January

18, 2017, at Major Hospital Shelbyville IN.

  

She was Born on November 6, 1925 in Brownsville, PA, She was the Daughter of Henry Aldridge and Ella (Redmon) Aldridge and they preceded her in death.

 

Betty married Paul Joseph Sr. on September 2, 1943 he preceded her in death in 2001.  

 

Betty is survived by Sons: Richard "Rick" (Marilyn) Joseph, Shelbyville, IN, Paul Joseph, Jr., CA, Timothy (Ana) Joseph, AK, Robert (Angie)  Joseph, MO, Alan (Imelda) Joseph, Shelbyville, IN,  15 Grandchildren and 7 Great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 6 sisters.

 

She worked at Major Hospital for 11 years until her retirement then she volunteered for 25 more years.  

 

She was a member of the Evangelical Church of Christ.  

 

She was known for her blankets and hats that she knitted for the new born  babies at Major Hospital.  She always enjoyed participating in square dancing activities.

 

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from  9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services 703 S. Harrison Street Shelbyville.  

 

Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM  at the funeral home with Robert Joseph officiating. 

 

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery Shelbyville IN.

 

Memorials maybe given to Evangelical United Church of Christ of Shelbyville.

 

Funeral Directors Greg, Sheila and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mrs. Joseph.
