David Dixon, 45, of Solsberry, a former Shelby County resident, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2010 at his residence in Solsberry.
Born Nov. 6, 1965, in Shelby County, he was the son of Thomas and Barbara (Laws) Dixon. He married Sandy Bullard on June 4, 2005, and she survives.
Other survivors include his mother, Barbara Laws Thompson of Greenfield; his father and stepmother, Thomas and Beverly Kay Dixon of Bloomington; daughters, Alicia Gillham of Indianapolis, Summer Dixon of Connersville, Megan Bullard and Haley Bullard, both of Shelbyville, and Selena Dixon of Bloomington; sons, Brandon Jenkins of Gosport and Robert Dixon of Connersville; sisters, Susan Murray of Greenfield, Melissa Dixon of Shelbyville and Christine (husband, Todd) Knight of Spencer; brothers, Chris Smith and Steve (wife, Vicki) Smith, both of Bloomington, Thomas Dixon Jr. of Greenfield and Jason Smith of Franklin.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Earl Thompson.
Mr. Dixon was a food service maintenance worker for McDonald's.
He liked hunting and fishing.
Visitation will be from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Pastor Shannon Benham officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
