Marilyn J. Coffey, 71, of Shelbyville died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at Heritage House Convalescent Center.
Born July 7, 1939, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Verl and Grace (Walton) Hasecuster. She married Birthel "Bert" Coffey on Dec. 27, 1958, and he preceded her in death in May 1993.
Survivors include sons, Todd (wife, Joni) Coffey and Michael (wife, Denise) Coffey, both of Shelbyville; daughters, Jane-Ann (husband, Charles) Cole of Greenwood and Twyla Shaw of Manilla; brothers, Maurice (wife, Sue) Hasecuster of Greenwood, Fredrick "Harold" (wife, Bonnie) Hasecuster and Richard Hasecuster, both of Shelbyville, and Norman "Fuzzy" (wife, Nancy) Hasecuster of Greenfield; sisters, Jane Conover of Flat Rock and Patricia "Pat" Mitchell of Shelbyville; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers; and a sister.
Mrs. Coffey had been employed by the Shelby County Sheriff's Department for 17 years.
She was a member of Hope's Point Church.
Mrs. Coffey's hobbies included sewing, baking, Bingo and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hope's Point Church, 1703 Miller Ave., with the Revs. Edwin Mohr and Jimmy Coffey officiating.
