Carolyn S. Walton, 70, of Shelbyville, died Thursday, January 21, 2010, at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove.
Born October 25, 1939, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Russell and Geneva (Mays) Comstock.
She married Delmar F. Walton Sr., and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include daughters, Patty Walton, Marsha Foreman, Carolyn Cass and Janet Ewick, all of Shelbyville, Annette Walton of Indianapolis and Jeannette Thurmas and Debbie Walton, both of Alabama; sons, Delmar Walton III of Shelbyville and Brian McKay of Indianapolis; brother, John Comstock of Fairland; sisters, Barbara Rhoades of Greenwood, Connie Bright of Shelbyville and Darlene Gery and Lisa Tucker, both of St. Paul; 17 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Patricia Fields; and sons, Delmar Walton II and Harry Marks.
Mrs. Walton was a homemaker.
She was a member of The Salvation Army.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, January 24th, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, January 25th, at the funeral home, with Robert Prather officiating.
Burial will be in the Concord Cemetery in Morristown.
