Juanita Gaye Pruett, 62, of Shelbyville, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010, at her home.
Born July 18, 1947, in Albany, Ky., she was the daughter of Joe W. and Nellie (Hall) Johnson. She married Jimmy Albert Pruett on Aug. 14, 1993, and he survives.
Other survivors include a stepson, Jimmy L. Pruett; brothers, James (wife, Barbara) Johnson of Shelbyville, Randall (wife, Debbie) Johnson of Flat Rock, and Freddie (wife, Edna) Johnson, Kenneth (wife, Diana) Johnson, Russell Johnson and Mackie (wife, Terri) Johnson, all of Kentucky; half brothers, Kirby (wife, Debbie) Hall and Jimmy Hall, both of Shelbyville; half sisters, Carolyn Dixon of Rushville, Wanda (husband, Harley) Sheets of Waldron and Anna Sue (husband, Dennis) Clark, Nettie (husband, Billy) Jones and Reba (husband, Ricky) Wilkerson, all of Shelbyville; stepbrothers, Kenny Hedden, Jimmy Hedden, Wilbur Hedden and Dale (wife, Catherine) Hedden, all of Shelbyville; stepsisters, Wanda Hedden and Chris Hedden, both of Indianapolis; grandchildren Dustin Runnebohm, Jesse Runnebohm and Jason Runnebohm; seven great-grandchildren; and special friend, Tena Wise.
She was preceded in death by his parents and a stepdaughter, Debbie Runnebohm.
Mrs. Pruett had worked in construction as a home insulation installer.
She was a member of Dayspring Community Church.
Mrs. Pruett was a caregiver to all animals that needed a helping hand.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Stephens officiating.
Burial will be in the Norristown Cemetery.
