Virginia Joan Disser, 84, of Brazil, Ind., died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009, at St. Vincent Hospital in Brazil.
Born July 17, 1925, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of John and Leota (Clapp) Kehrt. She married Karl F. Disser on July 29, 1948, and he survives.
Other survivors include her daughter, Deborah Ann (husband, Ronald) Cunningham of Brazil; grandchildren, Andrea Christy and Aaron Christy; great-grandchildren, Alexis, LeLe and J. Michael; niece, Marilyn Joseph; and nephew, Kehrt Etherton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marjorie Etherton; and brother, Willard Kehrt.
Mrs. Disser was a homemaker and had been a Bluebird and Campfire leader for several years.
She was a member of the Women's Bible Fellowship.
Mrs. Disser enjoyed gardening, canning and crossword puzzles.
Visitation will be from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mary Archer officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
