Betty L. Sweet-Randolph, 86, of Shelbyville, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010, at Heritage House Convalescent Center.
Born May 4, 1923, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Elmer and Hilda (Paris) Brooks. She married Wilford Sweet on June 18, 1941, and he preceded her in death.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kenneth L. Brooks; and sister, Kathleen Thomas.
Mrs. Sweet-Randolph lived in Shelby County for 65 years.
She worked for various employers until her retirement.
Mrs. Sweet-Randolph was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Miller Cemetery in Shelby County, at a later date.
